Tomorrow is often the busiest day of the week.
What people don't see are the great shots Chris made during the week to get to the TV finals.
We're prepared. We'll be reloading the salt bins as the week goes on, though we have 1500 tons of salt and we just used a very little bit of that.
Michael is like Clint [Dempsey]. You get the same from him every day of the week. Fortunately for us, that's a high standard of play. He does what he does on a regular basis.
The week preceding the game is just as important, if not more important, to prepare yourself mentally to make sure you know the ins and outs of the opposition. It's all about getting ready for Jacksonville. It's a one-game season.
This guy has been here in the beginning of the week and we couldn't look at them until last night. Outside we got all the other trucks.
It was real nice to win to get us back on the right track. The word of the week was redemption.
I told Erica last year that I would rather be her any day of the week because she's going to win way more races than I ever did.
Grades are more important, so they needed to be there. We talked during the week about self-discipline, that these boys are all smart enough to get good grades and play ball. It just takes work.
We even had Tom MacDonald (former Morse coach) come speak to the kids during the week and they really responded. It was really a team effort.
I got it going pretty good today and overall the week was pretty good. Now I'm going home and rest.
Sometimes you try to do too much. We rushed. I think the week off played a big part in it because we were anxious to play. But I wouldn't say we escaped with this victory. We played hard, and made big plays to win.
We've decided to re-schedule the game sometime during the week before Thanksgiving. Neither one of us plays on that weekend, so we're looking at either the Thursday (Nov. 17) or Friday (Nov. 18) before. We'll make that decision later but, right now, the game is tentatively set for one of those days.
Another week of work. We're going to work hard during the week. There's some grumbling on Monday and Tuesday when we're pushing them, but tonight was a wonderful example of what hard work does.
We have to get student testing done by the end of the week and then testing companies pick tests up on Monday, so we are one a tight schedule.
It's going to stay cold for early and middle part of the week.
It helps keep the park in good shape for the rest of the week.
We'll see how Richard works out over the week. I'll be glad if he plays this weekend given that he was supposed to be dead and buried two weeks ago.
We're going into this game thinking worst-case scenario that Christen doesn't play. We go into the week like every week preparing our kids the best we can for whoever is on the field. I'd like to think that we're not a one-man team. There are a lot of people out there who do think that Hilliard Davidson will go as Christen Haywood goes, but our kids have a lot of pride and they'll do a good job in preparing themselves no matter who's playing.
The Tuesday afternoons have really become so popular for us that we thought if this is the week we're going to open, why wait until Friday or Saturday?
Each guy needs to look at his performance, look at the progress during the week. Did I do everything I needed to do? [We'll] get back to the team we know we are.
I had a bride-to-be walk in here the week after Christmas who wanted a dress to take with her to be married in Las Vegas this past Friday. Well, she picked one out that she loved, but it was huge, so we special ordered one to be shipped overnight, our seamstress fitted her and she had it with her when she got on the plane last Thursday.
We talked about it during the week and right before the game. We stressed that we wanted to win this one so we could host. It was something we really worked toward.
It was just a beautiful and wonderful way to break up the week. It's nice to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere with others that you don't get to see on a regular basis.
That was the week of spring break, and we hadn't practiced in a week. The girls are more focused right now than they were that day.
