It was a little redemption after the Creighton game.
This one hurts. This is as bad a loss as any I've ever suffered because our chance of winning a conference title is pretty slim now, and that was one of the things I really wanted to accomplish here.
That's the way the game goes sometimes.
I try to pride myself on defense. Anything to give the team intensity on the defensive end.
We're just trying to get our timing back and trying to get in a rhythm and a flow on the offensive end. If we continue to play like the way we did in St. Louis, in terms of intensity and defense, and our offense is a little bit smoother, we'll be in good shape.
There's a lot of trust between the two of them. They both understand what each other is trying to do. It's like a student that knows everything.
I appreciate (AD) Rick Hartzell coming to me and not waiting to look anywhere else.
I'm humbled and honored to be the head coach at the University of Northern Iowa. The excitement level for Panther basketball is at an all-time high and I look forward to continuing the growth of our program. With the players we have returning and the current recruiting class, I know we have the pieces in place to be successful.
