I'm extremely pleased and gratified. I worked extremely hard.
When I think of Bluegrass music, I don't immediately think of Bill Monroe or Ralph Stanley. I think of Randy Bailey.
I remember trying to stay away from his side (of the field) as much as possible.
Granted, we're 0-2 (this season), so it looks like the same old Newton, but it's not, ... With the youth and the coaching staff, it's a totally different attitude.
The kids were focused, intense. The big difference is that everybody did their jobs, and they trusted everybody else to do their jobs.
Our 600 employees in Maine can breathe a sign of relief that this referendum is not going forward. We were always hopeful that the effort to impose a crippling new tax on Maine's bottled water companies would not gain sufficient public support.
We invite all Lindenhurst residents to join us, ... as we pause to remember the events of September 11th and especially to pay tribute to those we tragically lost and honor those who responded that horrific day and in the weeks and months that followed.
I'm thrilled, ... I've had about a hundred people come up and ask me about ESPN, so I really feel like I'm representing (Vermont).
It's going to be tremendously challenging, ... I'm going to know everybody because I need to know everybody, but like I did (at UVM), I'm going to surround myself with great people and let them carry me along.
The biggest advice I got from the folks (at ESPN) is being myself, ... Letting my personality come through, be that good or be that bad.
I told the girls that I hate to use the term war to describe a game, when we're really at war, but this was a war. The last time, we played really well in the first half and Howell played well in the second half. This time around was so much more emotional. Howell made its run and we just kept imploring the girls to make stops.
We got very passive offensively, so we asked them to get more aggressive. Danielle got aggressive in the low post and Jill (Gannon) was great with those shuffle cuts. These kids are starting to peak.
Our senior (Michele Whalen) and seven juniors won a state tournament game for the first time. They've been playing together since they were freshmen, so this was really nice for all of them.
The irony was not lost on me, and it better not be lost on LSU.
